My God WILL Supply
Philippians 4:19 [show/hide]Philippians 4:19
[19]And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (ESV)
And My God will supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus.
A much-used scripture quoted over the ages, but has the full impact of these words become a reality in our lives? Do we have the assurance that God is able to make all grace and earthly blessing came upon us in abundance?
Have we reached the point where we are self-sufficient and whatever the need is we possess enough, requiring no aid or support?
Take the time to consider the following: “with the measure that you mete out, it is measured back to you; what you sow, you will reap; the benevolent person scatters abroad, he gives to the poor, his deeds of kindness will go on and endure forever.”
It is God who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating, He will multiply your resources for sowing and your increase will enable you to be generous to others.
There are some who live an entire lifetime without giving a crumb of bread to the needy, let alone an article of clothing to the poor. They then become angry and embittered when they suddenly come into a position of need and no one responds.
God speaks to man in a situation of wealth and of poverty regarding this, and we can either respond or ignore His Voice. Our tithes, offerings and donations to the poor is an important factor influencing the laws of multiplication.
The inability to give when you are poor will affect your future financial success, because if you cannot give in poverty you certainly will not be able to give when you are wealthy and vice versa.
I perceive that God is seeking such who can give liberally in poverty and riches and it is those whom He will choose to empower and enrich supernaturally in a surpassing measure of abundance.
Is this not the time that we should seriously consider changing our attitude regarding the laws of sowing and reaping?
This is applicable to the wealthy and the poor, for who knows at what instant God will speak and an entire fortune is lost, or a poor man receives great wealth in a moment?
There are diverse situations wherein people find themselves, but by and large this law is applicable to each one without exception.
When we are in a position to assist another, why offer to pray for them and bother God, when He is fully aware, as we are that we ourselves have the necessary funds available?
If we apply the laws of God to regulate our finances, His rewards are abounding to us over and above that for which we ask, and we have the assurance that ‘My God will liberally supply your every need according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus’.
